The Milex Hodge pessary with support is designed for patients with limited pubic notch and mild cystocele.This Hodge Pessary is a silicone folding pessary – manually shapeable for easy insertion and removal.The Hodge Pessary elavate the bladder into a retropubic position and provide support similar to that obtained by bladder neck suspension surgery.The Hodge pessary is favoured and used when predicting the liklihood of incontinence after surgery for the correction of the prolapse.Proper fitting of the Hodge pessary should minimise the development of complications.Please Note: The Hodge Pessary contains an internal metal support therefore must be removed prior to any Xray’s of the pelvic floor, MRI’s or similar scans involving examination of the pelvic floor area.
